I was very pleased to be commissioned by Belgian singer/songwritter Alice On The Roof to design and craft a bespoke giant pop-up bunny, conceived as a signature stage element for her entire live tour "The Girl in the Mirror".
The brief was as unique as it was ambitious: create a large-scale pop-up structure, able to unfold on stage at each performance. After an iterative process of small-scale prototypes and a full-sized working model, the final piece was crafted from iridescent paper and white cardboard, completed with a reflective surface carefully chosen to echo the finish of Alice's piano on stage.
A rare intersection of paper art and live performance, designed to surprise, to delight, and to disappear back into its folds, night after night.
